Jameson Andrew Blake[fn 1] (born June 17, 1997) is a Filipino-American actor, dancer, and model based in the Philippines. He is best known for his roles in the films 2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten (2016), So Connected (2018), and Ang Babaeng Allergic sa WiFi (2018).

Early life

Jameson Andrew Blake was born in Hong Kong[2] on June 17, 1997,[3] to a Filipina mother Clarissa Gibbs and an American father Robin Blake.[4] He has an older brother and a younger sister.[2] Blake's parents separated, with his father staying in Hong Kong, and he and his siblings moving to the Philippines with his mother.[5]

Career

Blake started out by appearing in television commercials for brands such as Bingo Cookie Sandwich, Coca-Cola, and Jollibee.[6]

In 2015, he auditioned for Pinoy Big Brother: 737 as a teen housemate.[7] He joined the second leg of the season, the Regular Edition, under the moniker "Ang Responsible Son ng Pampanga."[8] Blake entered the house on Day 81 and was evicted on Day 112.[9] Later that year, Blake became a member of the all-male dance group Hashtags, formed by the noontime variety show, It's Showtime.[10]

In 2016, Blake made his film debut in the coming-of-age movie 2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten. For his portrayal of Maxim, he won Best Supporting Actor at the 12th Cinema One Originals Film Festival[11][12] and received a nomination for New Movie Actor of the Year at the 33rd PMPC Star Awards for Movies.[13]

In 2017, Blake was part of the 13th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival entry Nabubulok, where he portrayed Paul Harper.[14] He shared in an interview that the role was somewhat less daring compared to his previous ones.[15] That same year, he starred in Kip Oebanda's horror film Nay, which was an official entry to the 13th Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival.[16] Blake also appeared in the 43rd Metro Manila Film Festival entry Haunted Forest, as RJ.[17]

Blake has also had roles Mama's Girl (2018), and So Connected (2018).
