Lamont is a town in Grant County, Oklahoma, United States, situated along the Salt Fork Arkansas River. As of the 2020 census, Lamont had a population of 301.[4]

2020 census

As of the 2020 census, Lamont had a population of 301. The median age was 38.9 years. 23.3% of residents were under the age of 18 and 16.3% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 100.7 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 89.3 males age 18 and over.[6][7]

0.0% of residents lived in urban areas, while 100.0% lived in rural areas.[8]

There were 134 households in Lamont, of which 33.6% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 44.8% were married-couple households, 24.6% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 24.6% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 30.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.[6]

There were 185 housing units, of which 27.6% were vacant. The homeowner vacancy rate was 2.1% and the rental vacancy rate was 24.1%.[6]
