壆圍

壆圍(英語:Pok Wai)是一條位於香港元朗區新田地區的鄉村。

該村原有圍門與圍牆,故有指它曾可能為一條圍村,但目前二者均已拆除。[1]

行政區劃

壆圍是新界小型屋宇政策下其中一條認可鄉村。[2]

歷史

該村於約一個世紀前,由文壽福所建。[1]

據1911年人口統計顯示,壆圍有人口225人,當中男性佔100人。[3]

特色

該村有一條中軸線及七排村屋,而原有的圍門與圍牆經已拆除。最後一排村屋中設有一座神廳,朝向村子的圍門直巷(entry vertical lane)。神廳內的祭壇設13位供祭祀的神靈,包括觀音天后文昌楊侯[1]

壆圍附近存有一個二戰後的碉堡和塹壕體系(trenches system)。有指這些建築為英軍保衛雞公嶺及保護石崗機場而建。[4]
