鲴科（学名：Xenocyprididae），為輻鰭魚綱鯉形目的其中一科，本科魚類原由德國動物學家阿尔伯特·甘瑟於1868年歸類為鯉科（Cyprinidae）的一個亞科[1]，但已逐漸被一些学者視為一個涵盖更广的獨立的科。本科在很長一段時間裡，它們的物種相對較少，只有五個屬（Distoechodon、Hypophthalmichthys、Plagiognathops、Pseudobrama 和 Xenocypris）中的十多個物種，目前約有40多個屬，約160種。[2][3][4]
分布
本科魚類主要分布在東亞平原地區淡水流域；金沙江虎跳峡及黄河壶口瀑布以上基本并无自然分布。[5] 作为外来物种，有些已被引入中国西部、歐洲及北美洲地區。
